European BASE Jumping Expedition

This expedition is a service we offer to you as a BASE Jumper who has completed one of our First BASE Courses. For 2015 we are organizing a European adventure to Norway and Switzerland. This service is intended to offer you as an Apex BASE student an opportunity to experience BASE Jumping from big walls and ultimately be able to return without assistance. As with any of our offerings, we want to impart valuable information to aid you in safely advancing within the sport.

Please send us an email and we will provide you with the cost of the 2014 trip and details of the services provided. Last year, 2 instructors guided 5 clients to Norway and 4 clients continued to Lauterbrunnen. In all, the group made 179 jumps. One very motivated and solid student made 35 jumps from 17 different exit points.

The 2015 Apex BASE European Expedition is organized so that you, as an approved participant, can make advancements for your specific skill level, while our team is there to help guide you through it. During the trip, you will also be encouraged to improve your tracking skills, canopy performance skills, and general BASE Jumping knowledge. This is NOT a wing suit trip. We will require everyone to use a tracking suit during terminal jumps. If you have interest in wing suit BASE Jumping, please contact us for more information.

There are 2 prerequisites to the European trip:

  1. Completion of an Apex BASE First BASE Jump Course. If you made it this far, you’ve probably already got that part done.
  2. Completion of the May “Continuing Education Course (CEC)” and student evaluation at the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho. This course is offered “at cost” in early May. Last year’s cost was around $300 per person.

To jump in Norway you must have completed 250 skydives and 15 BASE jumps. If your numbers don’t quite make it, please understand these rules have been put in place by the Norwegian BASE club. The rules are there to keep us all as safe as possible and to keep the site open. We hope you’ll consider coming with us next year when your jump numbers are higher. If you’re lacking the BASE jumps it’s probably only by a few. The May CEC could provide the numbers you need to attend.

If you are interested in the European Expedition, and would like to be considered for one of the available slots, please request, fill out and return our Customer Information sheet. A $2,000 deposit is required to secure your slot. If invited on the Expedition, the balance will be due one month prior to departure..

We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
